Midpoint assignment

Being in my internship for a while as not been change because everything that have been doing is still the same.one thing that is similar at my internship that can compare to my school is they have a large space were they help student new to this country learn English.focus on their study and practice some skill like using the Internet. Since have been in my internship have learn the skill of typing,communication and listen.Those skill could help me in the future because they are useful every where.They could help me in college ,in a job and somewhere someplace .In my internship i have a great relationship with my mentor and the coworker.They like people i have know for so long and are very cool.As long i been good if them they are being good to me.As have been around professional adult i learn how to interact with other and being in the world of business people.At my internship event the people mostly speak creole i have learn some skill that could help me in English.i have also learn some skill that help me keeping writing in my language.Being in my internship don't effect me at all it's help me have time to do my class work on time.there if i have nothing to do i could do my homework and everything i gotta do.As have been for a while in my internship my goal is to get some skill i could use everywhere,pass my internship and have good grade for the class.

The four weeks of me being in my internship

The full name of my internship is Flanbwayan. What i did there is helping them with any thing they want extra help with. Since have been working there i help collecting thing to send to Haiti,arrange book for their new library,doing researches on stuff they are preparing for an Haitian radio ,receiving phone call take the message and writing book name at the Internet.The place am working on is a youth menbership based organization servin newcomer and young adult Haitian immigrant student in New york Citi who are english language learners(Ells) between the ages of 14 to 21.Flanbwayan provides a safety net for Haitian youth who may possibly fall through the cracks of an overwhelming high school placement process as they enter the New York area, providing much needed services, including individual education assessments and appropriate school placements. In this project student-members have found themselves in a safe space where they discussed issues, share experiences, express their views on education issues, develop outreach efforts to their peers and raise awareness on the need for education reform.

Flanbwayan‘s multi level approach of access to education, advocacy, organizing and cultural activities provides rigorous learning experiences where students acquire critical thinking, analytical and leadership skills that deepen community ties and cultural understanding. Flanbwayan assumes in order for newcomer immigrant youth to grow and develop they need to have a safe space, equal access to resources and opportunities.

Mission
Flanbwayan's mission is to create an alternative response to a marginalized group of students, raise awareness in immigrant communities, increase organizing and advocacy efforts around educational issues for English Language Learners for both newcomer and young adult students to enter a world of opportunities, education and transformation.In my internship what i regularly do is doing researches on some stuff and don't mostly have so much to do.

For the last four weeks have notice a lot of great thing about my mentor. She is a nice women,She care about others and respect each other. Something i enjoy at my internship is the quality to use the Internet and have a lot of fun. My internship is a great internship where people have time for them self.

my internship is located in 208 park side Ave. I left from school at 11:30 it take me 1Hour and i left there at 4:00.I work four day,Monday,Tuesday.Wednesday and Thursday.My mentor don't usually sign my time card but an others member who work there sign my card. I like being at my internship because the job they are doing is something i really enjoy.

My first two week

My first two week at my internship went very well and i was surprise about the environment.□ When i first came to my internship i think it was going to be a nice place like a well organization where people work like on a big company and each have their own office.When i heard i was going to work at an organization i think everything will be well organized and i will have do a specific work.I think i would be able to work like am on a big company and the people there will also be dress up professional or act like big business people.□ one thing i really like about the place is that the people there are very welcome and treat each other with respect.They are nice people and like what they doing.I also like what they doing because if their is no voices on this society other people will have no representative.My mentor is a very nice person and make me feel comfortable.My goal for my internship is to do well at my job to pass the internship class if a full credits.I hope to learn how to make the different and how to help each other.I want to learn the skill how to be much comfortable talking with another person.
